Welcome Message

Dr. Wassim Kassouf
CUA President 2025-2026

It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to the 81st Annual Meeting of the Canadian Urological Association (CUA), hosted for the first time in the exciting city of Saskatoon. Set against a backdrop of rich cultural meaning and prairie hospitality, CUA 2026 promises an exceptional blend of strong science, thoughtful reflection on health equity, and valuable opportunities for professional connection.

At the heart of the meeting will be a robust and forward-looking scientific program highlighting the latest clinical advances, emerging research, and evolving best practices in urology. It is designed to inform, challenge, and inspire clinicians and researchers across career stages.

Moreover, our strong partnerships with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, urology and oncology nurses, nuclear medicine specialists, and pharmacists allow us to integrate a multidisciplinary perspective into our program, enhancing its impact and relevance.

Beyond the science, CUA 2026 offers a rich social and networking experience, with an Opening Reception at the Remai Modern, one of Canada’s premier art museums and a centerpiece of Saskatoon’s cultural scene. Delegates will also enjoy a free Sunday evening, providing the perfect opportunity to explore Saskatoon’s riverfront trails, vibrant dining scene, and local attractions.

More than a conference, CUA 2026 is a gathering shaped by purpose, connection, and shared vision. Whether you are attending to advance your clinical knowledge, present innovative research, reconnect with colleagues, or build new collaborations, Saskatoon in June 2026 will be the place where Canadian urology looks ahead — grounded in respect, energized by discovery, and united by community.

I look forward to seeing you there and to the continued growth of our shared mission.

Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge that we are on Treaty 6 Territory and the Homeland of the Métis people. We reaffirm our relations which we are bound to by our ancestors through Treaty, to steward this land and seek mutual benefit for as long as the grass grows, the sun shines, and the river flows. We pay our respect to the First Nation and Métis ancestors of this place and honour Elders and Survivors as we bring awareness to Indian Residential and Day Schools, the Sixties Scoop, Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirited. To acknowledge this territory and its keepers on their traditional terms is to act in reciprocity so that truth may be understood, and reconciliation made possible.

About the CUA 2026 logo

The CUA26 logo thoughtfully integrates symbols representing purpose of the association and its host city, Saskatoon. It features a stylized depiction of Saskatoon’s downtown landscape alongside 6 Saskatoon berries, highlighting the city and recognizing that Saskatoon is on Treaty 6 land. The artist has created a unifying symbol representing a gathering which promotes sharing knowledge, meaningful connections and reflecting on words spoken; which are the hopeful intentions for CUA26, Created by artist Chris Chipack, @inchipakwetrust
